1. Benefit Dinner for Joshua Ruchotzke @ The Fresh Fish Co
10/19/2008. TEAM UP with local sports celebrities as the Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation hosts a Benefit Dinner for Joshua Ruchotzke. Special invited guests include MATT HOLLIDAY, CLINT HURDLE and others!
Joshua Ruchotzke is a 13-year old athlete, honor student and avid sports fan. In late January he became ill with the bacteria that causes strep throat, but it invaded his whole body and was almost fatal. Joshua and his mom were transported via air ambulance to Denver’s Center for Extremities at Risk at Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center. Fortunately, Joshua survived, but he had amputations to all four limbs and has been receiving extensive medical treatment, surgeries and therapy.
While Joshua has made tremendous progress, he will need additional surgeries and therapy, as well as prosthetics for his hands and legs and additional special prosthetics to return to the sports he loves. Joshua’s friends in Denver want to help him and his family with all they need to keep moving forward in Joshua’s recovery.
The Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations made through the Denver Active 20/30 Children’s Foundation allow all proceeds to be eligible for tax deduction. All donations/proceeds from this dinner/auction/raffle will benefit Joshua. Cost is $100. For more information on this event visit www.da2030.com/. The Fresh Fish Co is located at 7800 E. Hampden Ave. For more information on this venue call 303.740.9556.
